Performance indicators

Hydrophobic vitrified microspheres are a multifunctional filler material capable of enhancing product quality and reducing costs across numerous industries. They appear as white or off-white, loose particles with excellent flow properties. Under microscopic examination, they manifest as spherical structures with a silvery sheen, featuring a hollow core enclosed within a rigid outer shell.

Physical Properties of Food-Grade Perlite

Pearlite (expanded perlite) is produced by crushing and high-temperature calcination of vitreous mountain rock, resulting in loose, spherical white granules. It is non-toxic, odourless, non-combustible, and non-corrosive. Owing to its exceptionally low thermal conductivity, reliable chemical stability, excellent flow properties, and extremely low bulk density, it finds widespread application across diverse sectors including industry, agriculture, national defence, environmental protection, chemical engineering, food processing, and construction.

Flow velocity test

We conducted flow rate and filter cake formation tests on the perlite filter aid using a vacuum filtration apparatus.

Using clean water as the test medium, the filtration flow rate at standard thickness was 0.93 mL/s (approximately 56 mL/min), forming a filter cake with uniform structure and well-distributed pores.

Test results demonstrate the product's excellent permeability and shape retention, making it suitable for widespread application in beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical liquid filtration.

Moreover, we can create three tiers: fast, medium, and slow.
